Every single revolutionary movement has its own manifesto.

This is ours.
Overproduction is without a doubt the biggest challenge facing the fashion industry. The industry still relies on outdated inventory models and struggle to match supply and demand due to inaccurate forecasts.

Supply chain inefficiency makes it difficult for brands to keep up with fast-changing trends and to manage unsold stock. Losses reach up to $1 trillion per year in markdowns and stockouts and $120 billion in dead stock sitting in warehouses.

And that's not the whole story. Material waste, reduced profits, and a negative impact on the environment are among the biggest challenges within the fashion supply chain. Oftentimes, excess production is disposed of in landfills or incinerated, causing harm to the environment and damage to brands' revenue and reputation.

Fashion's traditional system is a financial waste and a threat to the environment. By shifting to on-demand business model, brands will avoid creating tens of thousands of physical samples, reduce logistics and photoshoot expenses, and improve financial and production efficiency.

Product digitalization is key. Digitalizing a brand's product catalogue allows them to sell made-to-order personalized products and produce them on-demand, which means starting production only after the customer places an order. This way, fashion brands can reduce their upfront investments and minimize excess inventory.

PlatformE seeks to reduce overproduction and waste in fashion by integrating our end-to-end software ecosystem platform into product creation and production. This allows brands to create and sell their products digitally before producing anything physically.

We aim to enable fashion businesses to move to an on-demand production model, eliminating the need to keep a stock of finished products, while shortening lead times, and optimizing the manufacturing and delivery of made-to-order products.

Born from the idea of José Neves, PlatformE was originally a platform dubbed MySwear which helped customize sneakers for his brand Swear. After the success of MySwear, we built the best technological stack for 3D product composition and customization, and supply chain technology to make on-demand fashion possible.
After understanding that the set of tools and software would be useful for the industry as a whole, we created Ripe Productions, and started partnering with brands, factories, and retailers beginning in 2016.
Backed by TLF Ventures, Amorim, and Natalie Massenet, we launched a B2B tech platform to serve the fashion industry and later changed the name to PlatformE.
Starting in 2017 and entering 2018, PlatformE joined the two major luxury groups LVMH and Kering, serving more than 20 brands, like Hermès, Dior, Gucci, Fendi and Farfetch.
We launched DDIGITT, a digital agency specializing in 3D Digital Product Creation (3DPC) and animation.
We launched SKINVADERS, a next-generation platform for in-game branded skins and in-game digital assets at scale that is connecting brands with the metaverse.
PlatformE bets in extending its capacity to the supply chain. The company acquires Springkode to accelerate the connection between brands and digital-ready manufacturers and spearhead Industry 5.0. We've built a global network of digitally savvy factories, ready to produce on-demand in record time.
We have partnered with Houspring to launch the factory of the future in the North of Portugal.PlatformE acquires Catalyst AI to strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities and add machine learning tools for optimizing fashion supply chain processes to its platform.
PlatformE launches a new brand and a new website.
